Dramatic views of Central Park and the need for a crisp yet informal work environment inspired the design for offices of a hedge fund on two floors of a mid-town tower. A long central space on each floor, finished in natural materials, brings the Park inside. These central spaces, which house reception, open work areas, and informal meeting areas, are framed by two “urban” walls; one in glass and metal for the private offices, and the other in masonry which clads services and elevators.
